(With extra pictures) CIG Shipbuilding has delivered the Acta Orion to Acta Shipping 1 BV.

The hand-over of the Acta Orion took place on 6 November at CIG Shipbuilding in Groningen, the Netherlands and was featured in SWZ Maritime's January 2016 issue. The contract for the vessel was signed 14 June 2014. After the hull was completed at Partner Sp z.o.o., Szczecin, Poland, it was brought to Harlingen, the Netherlands, for finishing in June.

On 22 October, the christening ceremony took place, a festive event visited by SWZ Maritime editor Gerrit de Boer. Ms Didi te Gussinklo Ohmann, Project Director of the Gemini Offshore Wind Project at Van Oord performed the ceremony.
