The renewables industry is growing rapidly adding to a shortage of technicians. That is why Atlas Professionals, MHI Vestas and DOB-Academy (De Oude Bibliotheek-Academy) in Delft, The Netherlands will organise the Wind Experience Day.

The first Wind Experience Day will take place 28 March at the Felison Terminal in IJmuiden, the Netherlands, and will provide insight into the opportunities the offshore wind industry has to offer.

Working in Offshore Wind

MHI Vestas will give a presentation on the company, the offshore wind projects they are working on, the developments in the industry and career opportunities. An HSE coordinator will inform participants about working safely in offshore wind.

Rotor Game and Wake Effect

DOB-Academy will introduce its Offshore Energy training programme (beginners and advanced) and bring a Rotor Game that allows participants to build and test their own rotor. Furthermore, the organisation will demonstrate the "Wake effect", which allows participants to experience how wind turbines influence each other.

Through the use of Virtual Reality glasses visitors can climb a wind turbine. It is also possible to do a CV check to find matching opportunities in offshore wind.

To participate, please register through the Atlas Professionals website.
