The Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners’ (KVNR) has amended the criterion for its annual Shipping Award. From now on, it will be awarded to an organisation or person that has made a real difference for the Dutch shipping industry.
In the past, the KVNR awarded the Maritime KVNR Shipping Award to 'exemplary company management concerning ship, social organisational and environmental innovation in ocean shipping'. The leading criterion will now be: "Which organisation or person has helped the Dutch shipping industry most in the past year by means of a maritime innovation?" This means that it is now also possible to nominate a person or organisation outside the maritime sector.
Registration for the Maritime KVNR Shipping Award 2019 is now open. Registration is possible until 10 June 2019.
