Miguel Delcour has been appointed Director of the Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI) as of 12 October 2020. He will take over from interim Director Bart Struwe with immediate effect.

The KIVI office supports the main administration and the 50 specialised departments (including the offshore and maritime departments) of the professional association of engineers. The association was founded in 1847 and today has 18,000 members in almost every conceivable technical specialisation. KIVI is committed to supporting engineers in their professional practice and promotes the importance of engineers and engineering for society.

Delcour was born in 1975 and grew up in Hilversum. He studied Technical Business Administration/Graphical Management at Tilburg University of Applied Sciences and Business Administration at the RSM Erasmus University in Rotterdam. His main interests lie in the combination of management, complex political and administrative structures, engineering and commerce.

KIVI is one of the partners of the Schip en Werf de Zee (SWZ) Foundation.
