Superyacht specialist De Keizer Marine Engineering from Zaandam is restarting its business. TBI is taking over the system integrator through its subsidiary Eekels Technology. This guarantees job retention for a large number of Dutch employees and allows a global player in the superyacht industry to continue.

This was reported by Dutch inland navigation newspaper Schuttevaer.

The liquidators announced the restart on Sunday evening. Eekels Technology, a subsidiary of TBI Holdings BV, is a technology company specialising in projects and maintenance in the maritime and offshore world.

Following being granted deferred payment of debts on 12 October by the District Court of Noord-Holland, De Keizer International and De Keizer Marine Engineering was declared bankrupt on 15 October.

Liquidator Rocco Mulder, Pot Jonker Advocaten: ‘We are delighted that we have been able to secure De Keizer’s future in less than 3 weeks by means of a restart. De Keizer is a global player. As a result, the continued existence of De Keizer was also of great importance to many other market players.’
